Well, that was the plan anyway...

Met up with Koga and Jeremy and hit the big bay on the Curmudgeon.  I said if we didn't catch 100 at minimum, Koga really sucks at fishing.  ;D
Ran into traffic which put us back a moment, but finally met up at the ramp.

First cast and Koga has a backlash down to the knot on the spool.  We caught a few while he cut off half of his line.

Still cutting line...

Fishing was pretty slow and the sonar didn't show what I needed to see to stay.  I made the move as high tide came in looking for butts and corvina.  Koga finally got a few, but once again, just extremely slow.

We made another move and scratch a couple.  Funny thing was Koga caught 3 in the corvina spot but couldn't get a sniff anywhere else.  He also refused to use Cheater Sauce.  He sounded just like Sasquatch at one point.  lol

The Curmudgeon on the Curmudgeon!

It was a slow pick and I hit all of the spots in the same order I usually do.  I could barely meter any bait which made things look desolate on the screen.

We move to the original spot where we started and just picked at bass.  Not the 100-200 day I was hoping for and Koga reminded me about every 32 seconds for 5 hours.

I made one short final move and started to meter bait on the bottom finally.  Chris couldn't even get a bite and refused the sauce.  Then Jeremy makes up for the slow day.  He hooks it and immediately we could tell it's a big butt!

He fought him around the boat and we finally got him up to the net.  Beauty!  14.25# and I think Jeremy's biggest butt?  It was awesome for a bay butt no matter what.  Koga inserted himself in the big fish picture..

So I made some changes for Jeremy when I got home.

hahahahaha

*Poof*  Vamanos!  lol

So after a picture session and packing the fish on Ice, Koga says... "Okay, give me that cheater sauce!"  He was ready to say it doesn't work, but on his first cast with it and bam!  Worked like a charm!

Then he lubes up again and on his SECOND cast with Cheater Sauce....  gets a butt!  He was eating crow big time!

Well, I end up getting a mack on the swimmy and we called it the morning.  We only got 30 which was a far cry from the 200 I was wishing for, but that one butt made up for about 80 I guess.

Even with the slow fishing, it was great hanging out with the knuckleheads on such a beautiful morning.
Next time we'll hit the 200 mark!

Thanks for reading and great fishing with you guys!

You can't catch them from your computer chair.

😂 Great writeup! That is definitely my new PB butt. Great seeing you! And I guess Koga too. Definitely a great day off of work.
