Time for a little Surgery for my truck, only 109k miles but the joints are worn and need replacing ::)
Took it to a Front End Shop and got the estimate to bring it back up to snuff and being a 4wd just added to the chaos but it needs to be done in order to keep towing The Cyclops :) Complete front end rebuild happens this Friday, but first I need 6 new tires (Dually) so by Monday and 9 Thousand Bucks later, Bad Pig will be road worthy for many more years to come 8)

Ooof.  I can't imagine what that costs these days.  Glad the Bad Pig is fixed and ready to tote a new bed full of Hooves!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Ayayay, I thought 3k for the suspension mess I had with my Volvo was bad. Glad you're taking it in stride. What tipped you off that you needed the work done?

Tires were starting to wear so I took it in for an alignment, the inspection revealed all the worn parts and then I realized my tires were 5+ years old and starting to crack. Also I had noticed for a while that it was a chore to keep the steering wheel straight while driving on the freeway.

Bad Pig is still in the Waiting Room, Surgery has been rescheduled :-\  After I got my new tires I took it to the place where I get the oil changed. While it was on the rack they pointed out that the Pinion Seal was leaking on the rear end, no big deal (so I thought) and after replacing the seal I drove home. 1/2 way home I hear a terrible noise and the rear end was clunking >:(  >:( I couldn't take it back cause they already closed for the day >:(  Next morning I took the truck back and they said they will make it right so I gave them the opportunity to do so. They felt more comfortable to have the shop next door do the repair since that was their specialty. The whole time I had explained this is my Tow Vehicle and I expect top quality work, which I was promised ::)  I pick up the truck and they tell me everything was fixed and they test drove it and all is good. WRONG !!  I get 50'down the road and it ain't right so I return to hear them say it is good. I test drive once more and my truck was vibrating and clunking worse ! F@CK me !!! At this point I was expecting to go to Jail  :o  >:(  The owner wants to take it back apart and find out the problem....Nope, I tell him he is going to put it on a flat bed and take it to Ford !!! Well, Ford takes their stuff to Oceanside Driveline so that is where Bad Pig is at the moment :)  I had a conversation with the owner of that shop and gave him the scoop and he assured me he will fix it right at the expense of the idiots that jacked it up, I will have more details on Tuesday :)

Hope everyone has a safe Labor Day Weekend  8)

You found the hoof I zip tied to the drive shaft?  ;D

Yikes boss.  That seems too common these days having things come back worse than when they went in.  Hopefully it's all fixed up soon in time for SNBF-XIX!

Have a great holiday weekend boss.

Picking up Bad Pig from Oceanside tomorrow, then back to San Marcos for front end rebuild. It cost the guy that F'd it up 3k to have the Pro's do it right. All this Drama calls for a Getaway to Bishop/Mammoth next week to chase trout since I cant tow The Cyclops till the rear end gets broke in and serviced again, report and Pics coming soon  8)
