Wild Fires

Fires popped up next to my work... popped up pretty much all over SD the past week or so.  I got home from work and as we were eating dinner, I noticed a orange light through the window.  I walked outside to see this.



First thoughts were "Oh Crap!  That's close"...  then I realized it was the Border 2 fire and about 20 miles away.  Man, you get some big fires when it's dark out and it definitely looks close than 20 miles!

Well, keeping it on the radar just in case.

Crazy...stay safe. Seems like we're off the worst of the Santa Anas and we will get wet weather the next couple weekends, thank god.

We went thru 2 fires up here and it's something you never really get over

We had the fires burn down to our street in 2003 and had another bout with them in 2007 I think.  I was happy to know these were not right across the street.  Last time I bumped into Chris on my street fighting the fire and he said he'll save my house and boat first.  In the terror of the fire coming down on us, that actually made me smile.
