We kept getting bait stealers. lots of small bites on the squid. I got a slight bite, Set the hook, It ran for 5 seconds and went ping! Drag too tight, Guess i had to learn sometime on the long rod and 50lb, lesson learned.
Anywho the tide was dropping fast but we kept with it. I Reel up and feel weight but no shakes just dead weight. In the skinny Dah DAH. comes off. knew it was a lobster. A HUGE one! More small bites. We would reel up and feel weight and it would release. Or a single turn of the handle, it goes DAH DAH DAH. then releases. Each scenario happened to me a few times atleast.
Finally landed the first culprit. a HUGE QUEEN! Enjoyed taking some pics of these.

Thanks for reading, till next type. - Sean
Weird when you catch lobsters. Love to see all those eggs.
So cool seeing the eggs on some big mommas. Hopefully all of their offspring grow up to be caught again when they are legal!
Excellent report!
Major temptations there!! You guys were fishing some nice structure.
Wake me up when September ends... Yum ;D!
