I saw an article which said the stingrays are becoming very active at San Diego beaches.
First thought in my Bowfisherman's mind is, I wish they would allow bowfishing there. I could clean up a lot of them in the shallows.
It's legal from a DFG point of view, rays and sharks are allowed with bows.
The issue is the beach city regulations probably don't look kindly on bowfishing on a public beach.
Oh well, I could always hope.
I've heard that Seal Beach, which is closer to me has hundreds of stingrays in the spring, which has officially sprung.
I'd love to try it out there in the channel next yo the beach.

Back in the 90's I would see a guy bow fishing Torrey Pines all the time. By 2000 I've never seen him again.
I've heard the same about Seal Beach but haven't spent much time at all there. I normally leap frog it between Sunset and Belmont. Surprised I haven't seen more round rays these past few years, though. Not that I'm disappointed.

At Big Bear Lake on the boardwalk with lots of tourists, it's interesting to see the reaction. Most are curious.
The locals all praise me to keep up the good work.
