Andrew is out so the plan was to fish with him as much as possible before he heads back to VA Beach. He loves surf fishing out here since we have species to catch 365 days a year. Out east they only have "runs" at certain times then literally nothing inbetween.
His goal was to get a surf halibut. It didn't take long before he accomplished his mission, even if it was a postage stamp size.

I cast and cast for nothing. Grass was pretty bad and I should have switched to crabs right away with all of the corbinas I saw, but I was stubborn and wanted gamefish.
After working all the way up to Delmar, I had to switch to a C-Rig since my shoulder was killing me.
On the way back, the wind really started to pick up and conditions deteriorated. Thank goodness after about 3 missed fish, I got the skunk off.
Palm sized Perch!

That was it. I had to run to work to drop off some keys and then rush home to meet up with Roger and Captain Bill Schaefer at the country club.

Finished a couple of LI Ice Teas and a big chicken sandwich then ran home to get the boat ready for Saturday Shenanigans!
Until Next Tide!
Good on ya getting him on a halibut. Even that one counts!
Sounds like a productive day :)
