Stayed an extra day camping at the beach for a beautiful day and great fishing conditions. 1 to 2 foot sets every couple minutes. Otherwise flat and outgoing tide.

Switched to squid this session and the crockers came to the party starting with this spotfin. Followed by a couple yellow fin friends.

Last but not least a Keychain Leo.

And you've probably already noticed the lucky Goofy shirt. The one day I didn't wear it I got the stripe..

Nice to see a spotfin! Good motivation to get out there again. Thanks for the report.
Outstanding, a spotfin is on my bucket list
Wow, winter spotfin! Was it weedy out there from all of the surf pound the last 4 days?
In any case, I could use some sand therapy soon. Nicely done Keith!
Haven't seen a Spotfin in a long while, nice session after the storm 8)
Actually, had very little salad in the mix the entire trip. The most were a few kelp strands yesterday.
The beach is south facing here and is a little protected by the harbor jetty in the SW.

That's a great looking beach! Any structure off of it, or is it mostly sand on the way out? Thanks for the pics and update Keith!
Early spotfin! Hard to believe we have Spring time temps right now.
There is some structure. I get snagged in it every once and a while.
There is a river outlet just to the right and past that a rocky stretch up to the jetty.
Going left about 3/4 a mile is one of Spencer's spots. There is a reef easily within kayak dropping range.

Awesome, Thanks for the intel Keith. My ass is too old to yak baits out, but I was thinking about the long rod. I'll have to get the family up there camping at some point and just night fish while they sleep. lol
I'm going to be staying across the street from that beach next week and will bring a rod or two. We'll see how much sand the big swells have moved since I was there last month.
They have been replacing the sand again. When we got there the beach was all sand. When we left some rock piles emerged.
PM me when you plan on going. I'd like to try night fishing but don't know how to identify good places for grinners.

I found a few BSP and WEP but not much else
