I couldn't wait anymore... I got the call on Friday morning that the boat was done and to come pick it up... Boom! I had some terrible news just prior to this call, but it lifted my spirits almost immediately!

I brought the boat to San V and see what was what... First things I noticed is the boat still sits in the same posture it did with the little motor. i thought it might slump a bit, but it sat great.

Second thing I noticed, was moving in idle with the 60hp was about 1.8 mph... the 115 moved at idle at 2.8 mph.

Then, was the power.... Everything I hoped for and more! It's a beast compared to the small block 60 and I was smiling ear to ear.
Everything ran as well as could be and I was happy with the prop, but not sure I want to try a new one or not as this one seems about right. Anyway, that's for another day

Glad it balances out and runs well. Can't wait to see it rip up the ocean. Did you get a feel for the top speed and fuel burn?
If you feel like dropping just as much on the prop as the outboard, take a look at Sharrow propellers. Quieter, more fuel efficient, higher top speed. Not sure if they're on the market yet but they sure are neat.

glad everything worked out
load the boat for a full days ocean fishing and see what your top end rpms are
strongly suggest a stainless prop, no blade flex, better performance in turns, better hole shot, better fuel efficiency, will not bend, break or chip a easily as a aluminum prop, also, always carry a spare prop

It looks great, now LJ will be a snap :) Very cool 8)
