Long story, but my wife has been known to feed wildlife when she knows she shouldn't. I have no evidence this is what happened here, but I walked out to check my trail cam to see what's been digging in my yard and find this....

My wife was pissed as I got my 1200 FPS pellet gum ready for the evening feast, and she was not having it. Part of me thinks she did feed it and now it trashed the yard. It wasn't her $300 bucks and 20 hours prepping the yard to get all the grass up to par, so she has no vested interest in it dying. Long story short, I'm going to calm my soul and find another way to deter it from digging up the yard. I waited until she wasn't around and set up a @&*%$!^@%$% trap... If this doesn't work, I'll have to go back to plan A.
rip out the grass and put rock down, that will end the critters

I stayed up until 1:00 am and no sign of him. I had all the lights on in the back yard also to deter him. I woke up to even more damage than the night before. I'm losing my mind....

If you go with live trapping, the pest guys at work use canned cat food or tuna as bait.
strip some wire and let the 110v nail 'em.

I put one in the yard yesterday and no racoon destruction today. Not sure if it went off or not, but the coincidence is uncanny.
Years ago a LA business owner was tired of gang bangers tagging his building.
He built a large tank on his roof with an elaborate system to spray liquid on the taggers.
Next time the taggers got sprayed and they wound up sueing the business owner.
Jury awarded them money.
Business owner filled the tank with cow urine.

Sounds like urban legend to me. I did a search to find some information on this and found nothing. The owner would just have to detach the tank or dump out the cow urine and not say he did it to not get in any legal trouble. They wouldn't send out the detectives for something like that to confirm. lol
My biggest question is how the hell he got that amount of cow urine in a tank and where that would be available! I worked in enough livestock places to know the dynamics needed to collect that would be insane. lol
