In 25+ years out here, never saw a single one, let alone jump. Last year I got my first glimpse of one next to the boat. This year, I'm speechless on what I've been seeing. I need to attach GoPros to the boat facing ever angle... Today's Breach was National Geographic "Air Jaws" sh!t!

I was thinking of heading down there with the Mosquito to fill the freezer soon, but I think I'll wait til these sightings slow down for you...
The seals are Scooby Snacks for them in La Jolla.

I don't know if it's related, but there are only a fraction of the Sea Lions I used to see in LJ (Maybe because lack of bait and maybe because of predation... or a little bit of both?)
Also, Bat Rays used to be common as sh!t. Now it's a struggle just to catch one... Juvie GW favorite meal?
No shortage of surfers or sea swimmers though. Maybe they'll be on the menu next?

I think you should be good and rockfishing is pretty hot right now. I maybe wouldn't cruise around in close to shore with the Mosquito, but the rockfish spots are probably out far enough.
