I actually had and lost what I am sure was my first l legal WSB on the line but the hook pulled.  He slammed the swimbait about 1/2 way in on the retrieve, made a blistering 20 yd run straight out, jumped completely out of the water by about a foot, took off sideways about 20yds and the hook pulled.  I'm estimating that it was between 30-36" long, but I'll never know for sure.

I had numerous other 16-18" Calicos that weren't deemed worth the effort of trying to get a pic due to the locations I was in.

Where to fish these fish?

Hell yeah boss!  That livened up my morning for sure!  :)

Those are some meaty Calico's!  I've been having some fun lately with the small rod, but our surf salad situation has just been horrible down here the last few weeks.

This is a "Saltwater Shore Fishing Forum", the ocean's a good place to start......Sorry, couldn't help myself   ;D
