Sometimes you just have to take what God gives you and go with the flow.
Oh well, I really needed a couple of beers, the weather was perfect and we even caught a couple of bait rays.
All in all, not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon 8)

Sounds like a relaxing afternoon 8)
Went to the Newport jetty this morning and at the top of the tide it was wide open batrays. I was just cutting the first one loose when the second hit my other pole. That one was heading out to sea and eventually spit the hook. About 15 minutes later another one takes off. While I'm pulling that one in my other pole goes slack line. Once I got the third in I checked my other pole and found a shell of a Mac head. Then by about 8 it was wide open calicos on my sabiki. Landed two and two spit the hook trying to get them up on the rocks. Was pretty much over by 8:30.
Only got one Mac which I ended up using for bait. Gotta get out to get some more. My supply is critically low. :o

"Bait Rays" ;D
I keep forgetting I am working my way up the food chain. Macs, bats, sharks... ;)
