I wanted to fish. Josh supposedly wanted to fish. Then Binh wanted to fish. We know Tom and Steve are fishing. Off we go.
Last one on the sand, per my style. Bait in the water around 945p. Took about 30mins to get the one and only take down. Saw the tail end of the bite: rod tip twitched and major line slack. Lots of winding to catch up. Was using a circle hook, but once the line came tight, I set it anyways. Solid runs and headshakes. It used the ripping downhill current to it's advantage. Had Binh thinking bat, I knew otherwise. I even helped Binh sandhand by waiting for the larger sets to push it higher up the beach and out of harm's way (I had a deep trough in front of me).
