Wanted to do some light fare at the soup kitchen til sunset, packed rods, waders, etc. 20 minutes into the commute my brain kicks in and realize the thawed bait is still in the garage.
It is in a small ice chest with ice so it should not rot, but I can't fish. :-[
Jim
DOH!!!!!!
Quickly visit an oriental store and buy bait!! That would never stop me from fishing.
At least it will be fully thawed for tomorrow.
My day job is right near the 805. To get halfway across Mira Mesa and back eats 45 minutes of fishing time. Tried that and it sucks to waste sand time in traffic.
Jim
Well, did you fish at all?
Nope, had other things to deal with. It is in the back of the car for tonight though.
Trying my Saltist 20 that backlashed like there was no tomorrow with braid. Tweaked a few things and if it still does it it is gone or set with mono alone.

You should just put a 100 yards of mono-top shot on that reel to reduce the backlash issues.
