Met Binh on the sand for some hopeful sharkin'. Surf was pumping and the winds were a blowing. 2nd night of a grunion, but none showed. Binh missed a definite shark bite. I struck first with a sub 40" leo within minutes of my arrival.

Binh beat the skunk with 2 bats, one in the 30" range and this one at 47".

We both had legit shark bites throughout the night with me actually hanging one for nearly a minute as it took me to the reef before my 100lb rub leader snapped. Felt like a very large soupfin. Super fast run and head shakes.. Couldn't turn it in time. We called it at 11:30pm. Rough surf, winds, surf grass, and sprinkles plagued us. Bummer about the rain and high winds, the tide and grunion was to make for some nights.
Be out there tomorrow night. Hoping the "rain" is a non-event.
Nice work in poor conditions guys. 8)
I'm hoping for a couple shots this week too.

If it is, I'll be there too. Lots of sharks out, not enough skill
or luck in me to land them.
0 for 5 sounds like us, we're gonna give it another go on Thursday......................
I'm not looking forward to getting rained on tonight, but Tuesday is Tuesday!
