Well, Steve and I hit the surf tonight so we could get the grinners out of our system before the big Bat Fight tomorrow... I mean today... Ugh.
Lots of lobster bites, but a great small surf to fish in. I finally see a lobster bite and went to my rod to re-bait when I noticed my line was slack on the ground. I reeled up 20-30 yards of slack line and set the hook. A real one was HOME!
Not huge, but a 68" male Sevengill on mackerel just as the tide switched.

I had one real hit afterwards, but it popped the legs on my sputnik sinker and it never came back for it. Oh well, 1 for 2.
I'm exhausted and have all of the Bat Fight gear prepped and ready to be thrown in the truck in the morning.
I hope to see some nice bats caught! Get 'em guys!
Was hoping to fish Friday, but too many honey dos to complete before Easter. The climb to the top is getting tougher and tougher.
Before we know it Tom, you'll be hitting the big 60!!!
Just woke up. Trying to motivate.
