Tom, look at all these species you can sandbag for your lifelist! ;D
Ocean Beach tidepools yesterday afternoon at low tide. My goal was zebra perch. Locally sourced mussels used as bait.

Not pictured: Opaleye, because I'm tired of them.
I made a valiant effort to catch some 5-6 inch long zebra perch, but opaleyes always rushed the bait before the perch could work up the courage to take a nibble.
Before I headed home I fished the pier for about 15 minutes and caught a new lifer!

And I thought Verne Disney was the only guy that it ever took so long to get the elusive WSP checked off of their list 😃😬

Haha hey now, I haven't been here that long. Queenfish is another easy one I still haven't caught.
Super cool fish Ben! That is some pretty cool stuff.
I'm not sure about micro fishing after seeing the picture of the three of you huddled around a puddle-pool. One day I'll try it as my buddy has a real micro rod to lend to me. 8)
