Met up with Rasta, Squatch and tinker Bell looking to break in Josh's newly wrapped stick. Conditions were pretty good, but the bait stealers were out in force. Josh mopped up a few lobster, while Squatch had what we thought was a smaller grade Soupie.
Turns out that it was a 60.5" Leopard!

Rasta actually had a few nice hits, but didn't see them until too late or they just dropped it by the time he got to his rod.
I finally get a good hit, but due to too many beverages, I never tightened my drag down to where it should have been. It wasn't a Squatch sized leopard, but I was on the board with a (guesstimate) 54" model.

Josh takes legit camera pics, that's for sure.
Anyway, it was a good time down there, but bummed no real grinners. I went through two bonito and a bunch of macks, but the bait stealers were everywhere.
Good fishing with you guys.
Until next tide!
Awesome guys, I've never seen a leo that hit the magic 60"
Stupid leopard sharks. Eating the primo bait.
Super happy for you to have found a decent photographer.
That other guy sucks.
Hahahahha too much fun last night, wish I could have made it count when I got a decent pull, but I have a feeling the new rod will b christened with something for the list! Glad I could get a good shot of that Leo for you Tommy! 1st shot too! Take notes squatch LMAO! That Leo squatch got had me fooled til I saw spots, thought for sure that was a 65" soup B)
Tank leo for Steve!! But, I think we can all agree that the leos need to go and leave the baits for the real deals.
Hope they hang around for GG ;D
Nice haul guys!
