Wish I could be more active, but trying to build an automotive tech company from scratch just takes time :(
We wanted to hit the beach last night, but once again with a monster 7' tide we knew better. We thought seriously about fishing the big swing at night in the bay, but coming home after midnight wasn't an option, so we fished the tide during the day. Lines in at 11:30 am. Got a small ray almost immediately, and we enjoyed a steady bite all day with the exception of a lull after the low. This has pretty much been the pattern so far all summer. Got 18 fish for two of us, so not bad. Nothing big, but we stayed busy while we enjoyed adult beverages and beat the heat inland.
What was a surprise was there were preggo bats and sting rays!
We have never seen preggo rays in July! I know it's considered mating season for rays, but we've always seen preggo rays beginning in February/March/April.
Thanks for the intel. I'll have to head down there soon.
Nice way to spend the afternoon Chip!
The 50"er I caught last week sure looked preggo too, she was fat!
Nutt'n wrong with a 18 fish day ;)
