:D
Still on the water, 2 touchdowns and 1 missed field goal so far. More info later.
1 of the Quarterbacks left me a souvenir.
Beautiful Water Conditions tonight up in VC.
Surf 1-2 feet, minimal current, and no weeds except for the car sized kelp bundle left high and dry on the beach. I counted at least 8-9 kelp holdfast's in the pile that was almost 3 feet high and 10 feet long.
Lots of sand missing from this spot after the last 2 series of storms, almost 3-4 feet of sand missing from the last time I was there. so much so that I had fish the opposite end of the beach as I did not feel like climbing down the boulders to get to the sand where I normally fish.
Hit the beach and set up Rod #1 in a nice hole and set up Rod#2 10 yds to the side at the edge of the hole.
Tally for the night was 3 runs with 2 almost twin male 7's on the beach.
The first measured in at 84" and had gnarly bite on the side of his head from another shark.
The second measured in at 86" and in the process of unhooking him he gifted me a bottom tooth that popped out.
This one was full of piss and vinegar, made a nice 50 yd run at 3/4 drag with lots of head shakes and took me 100 yds down the beach.

Good job Ron! Wish I could've joined you!
Uh, well?!??!?;?
You're killing me smalls!
Hold your horses.
Your persistence paid off Ron, stoked for ya......................V
Two in one night and missed a third? Great night.
Great night boss! Wow! That's what I wanted to read/see!
BTW, the Seven's must be breeding. They clamp on to gill rakers and side fins when going for the glory. My big Seven last week had some gnarly bites to her as well.
Congrats again on an epic night!
I had the same thought Tom. These males had fully engorged claspers. I kept hoping to hit a big female. I'm just happy the rain held off until I was ready to leave.
awesome night! Love when they come in bunches ;D
Oh Btw all came on the one rod in the deep hole and hit Mac heads and tails.

Ron, you are the man! WTG on first of 2017 to come outa the VC hole! Where'd the beach go?! :o
And it's not that easy...hit it last night for a couple hours, spur of the moment, after reading this report. Even saw some evidence of where Ron was set-up at....great conditions, not A bump...but my Mack wasn't fresh frozen either, which I know can make all the difference.
JOE
Lol mine were at least 6 months in the freezer. Must have been my superior fishing ability lol.
;D
