I'll start with the good...
Beach had some chopped salad, but totally fishable. Eels and lobster were out in force.
Steve caught 2 lobster and a nice turd roller on the bass gear. I had a SCREAMING run on the long rod, but farmed it. A few casts later and I got on the board with a medium leopard shark. Steve follows up with a leopard shark of his own, so a success.
Tide forced us out, so we left early. Steve got underway before I realized that my tire was flat as f@ck, so I called him back since I needed a hand due to the hill I was on. Pain in the ass to get to my spare tire and after getting the spare on without crushing us, saw that my spare was pretty much flat. Changing a tire on a hill with an OEM jack is quite sketchy.
Thankfully I have enough in my truck to survive a zombie apocalypse, so my air pump got the tire round again.
I swear this year has just been the absolute worst in so many aspects, but I'm still breathing living and fishing so I got that going for me. lol
Thanks Steve for the help. I really appreciated it.
OH yeah, lots of sand washed away and there is a thick cobble layer under the sand at certain parts which makes sinking your rod holder a little tough. Just an fyi just in case.

Sweet!! That is easily my favorite way to spend a half hour ... trying to grind through it >:( >:( ;D ;D
Lol
No problem. Happy to provide moral support. When the spare was low, I expected you to pull a back up spare out from somewhere.
sh!t, all I got is a can of Run Flat >:(
At least you weren't completely stranded! Always helps to have a good buddy who's there for you. Forgot to mention the cobble stones in my "recon" report. Good to hear the salad is clearing up.
Bah I hate cobblestones. I'll bring the beach cart to have an option if I can't stick the sand.
Joe bring that Tripod stand down. That beach is the ultimate test once it lost its sand.
Jim
I'll be stoked to catch my first eel :o :o
