Made the trek up to Bass pro shops to return the broken Ocean Master rods. No hassles with the original order forms. They don't have the same model in stock so I may get a Carnage I I

I did get a credit for the rod but picked up a bunch of other stuff.  :o

It is a serious sportsmans candy store after all.

I did get the Penn Carnage II in the 12 foot rated for up to 80 lb braid, 12 oz max bait. The reel seat is about an inch higher but loaded into a belt it will be fine.

Supposedly designed for braid use and has carbon fiber in the rod. I like the fact it breaks down into 2 6 foot sections where the OM was about 5 and 7 foot sections making loading it int the car a pain

I'll make a test run probably a bay session to break it in.
