Did a hit and run mission with Sasquatch last night. Conditions were weedy, but fishable.
Long story short, Steve had a puller, but unbuttoned on the rod grab. Not 100% sure what it was.
I left my rod's side for 1 friggand moment to get my rod tip light working and as I had the little batteries in my hand, my rod goes screaming out. Yeah, the big hook never stuck and the bait came back flawless. Would bet on a soupie, but third nice fish to grab my bait in a week+ and nothing to show for it.
Tide and time forced us home, but great sunset and stars last night after the rains cleared the air.
Time for next batter...
The bites are coming, though. There are some questions that one would normally ask, but you are quite meticulous about your gear. The "fishing" part of fishing is what keeps us going.
Tonight is the lowest surf in the forecast. Very small tide swing in the evening 3.5 afternoon to 2 foot in the evening.
I may hit somewhere.

At least they're heating up and willing to play. Once my crops come in I'll stop farming :D.
With the surf as it was, I feel like I had bait on the hook maybe 10% of the time my line was in the water.
That's it, I'm fishing tonight!
