St Croix made the best catfish rods ever in their Classic cat line but now have Mojo cat rods. This caught my eye with a 2lb upper lure weight.

Too bad it is a single piece though. :(

Going to be tough holding the reel tight enough to get a decent cast with two pounds of weight.

Well the rod can do it but no promise it would be easy. I was tossing an 8oz sputnik and a live croaker a few weeks back and stretching the Ocean Masters limits.

Fishing flathead cats you use live fish going a lb+, small carp, bluegill, crappie etc.

This one can shling some weight...it's a casting or spinner rod, both as well

Reading up on some catfish forums the impression is that 32 ounces is a stretch.
