Conditions were stellar, low surf and zero weeds. 6 rods resulting in 2 horn sharks and a ton of rock fish, the bats are still a no show. Ran into the game warder Friday when I was light rodding and he said he hadn't heard of any bats being caught either :P
This El Nino has screwed up the bat and shark fishing for sure. I would have bet we would have found some crazy exotics over the past year, but nothing. Hell, I was sure someone would get a spotted Eagle Ray this year also! That would be an INSTANT winner (Wild Card) for the bat fight.
