Looks promising..with bait on the beach Right?

Stanky the seal didn't have any effect. Like Joe down in the bay I got nothing. At least a run would have been nice but got blanked. Hell not even bait damage.
Hope others first 2016 trips don't get stripes.
Jim
Bound to get one soon. How many seal strips did you get?
You weren't using crabs, were you? Yikes! :o
I can only think this streak you're on has to do with El Nino. It's made inshore fishing for big critters awefully tough this year, but I'm glad you keep trying because when it happens... I could only imagine it's going to be epic!
The wind shifted once and the seals stench was pretty foul so no way was I touching it. Set a line to the north and south of him to watch the current flow which headed strongly south.
Moved a bit south where the waves indicated better structure and found a point where the southern line stayed put and the northern line moved down to it. Figured that would be where Stankys slick would congregate but no action.
Some eel grat and small kelp stringers moved in just enough to engage the clicker.
Nice sand bars and holes in the area so worth further exploration targeting other species.
No crab tossing just bullet tuna and squish.

I've been a similar streak as yours, happens. It'll improve. At least you're getting out there.
You've been having some seriously crappy luck! Bound to hit the big one soon!
You still have a ways to go before you get a plaque.
It's a dubious honor.
I've got a good skunk streak going too, things will turn around...
I wonder how much trouble you'd get in for taking some seal meat....?
