Decided to give trout a shot this morning.
Pretty slow. Saw one caught and heard of one more.
Soaked powerbait and threw a silver kastmaster, then switched to a spinner.
With twenty minutes left on the clock I get bit on the spinner. Total shock.
Got the fish in sight, maybe 2.5 lbs, and handed it off to the three year old fishing next to me with his aunt and uncle.
He pulled on it for just a bit and the trout put on a nice show thrashing the surface and broke off.
Kid went back to playing with worms, I tied on another spinner.
I count it as a success.
You did way better than us today. 6 hours out there and never saw a single person hooked up on the entire lake.
Trout have been finicky so far. Good karma there Steve.
Props on the hand off. 8)
Steve's good like that... unless Squatch dumped it himself and handed off the empty rod to the kid and blamed him for losing it? Hmmm, Sasquatch's are sneaky animals, but then again, I'm just trying to stir the pot. lol
I didn't even sniff a trout yesterday, but the JETS beat the Cowboys, so my day ended all Even Steven and ended on a good note! ;D

Never thought of the empty rod hand off. Added to the bag of tricks
