It was a beautiful opening day at Lake Wohlford, last week Saturday.

Being out there was its own reward.
Catching trout like this was just icing on the cake.

Well..that's what I kept telling myself since that was the only trout I caught. It was pretty slow all around, not much action on the limited shoreline. A lot of it taken up by tall reeds. There were two plants prior to the opening so there were a lot of eager anglers there hoping for a WFO bite, which never materialized. Maybe it was the rain the day before that threw the trout off schedule.
Still, it was a great day to be out there.
Never been to Wohlford. Looks nice.
I contemplated going to Wohlford last week, but bailed last minute. Thanks for the post Reid! I'm glad you are still fishing! I was thinking you were going to put a reel on a drone at some point and fish that way, but it might already be in the works. ;D
Nice fish!
If you're only gonna get 1 might as well be a nice one like that!
Nice catch, I used to fish that lake all the time until they banned private boats >:( There are some big trout in there ;)
