Im interested to know what the shark scene from the beach looks like up there...
I lived 2 years in Vallejo and visit the area at least once a year.
The coast always known to be sharky especially off OBSF. Sea lions following the stripers and salmon migration back into the bay and I'm guessing the sharks follow. The Alcatraz sighting not surised. Pier 39 sea lion buffet is just across the way.
The sharking scene from what I know is mostly bigger grade leopards and giant bats from the bay. Never really saw any shark guys from the beach. Most guys on the sand are fishing for stripers, crabs, and red tail surf perch. Swell permitting of course.
